Before you beginRead and understand these instructions before performing any procedure with this drive.A DANGERHAZARDOUS VOLTAGERead and understand this manual before installing or operating the drive.Installation, adjustment, repair, andThe user is responsible for pliance with all international and national electrical standards in force concerningprotective grounding of all equipment. Many parts in this variable speed drive, including printed wiring boards, operate at line voltage.DO NOT TOUCH.Use only electrically insulated tools.DO NOT touch unshielded ponents or terminal strip screw connections with voltage present.DO NOT short across terminals PA and PC or across the DC bus capacitors.Install and close all covers before applying power or starting and stopping the drive. Before servicing the variable speed drive:·Disconnect all powerPlace a"DO NOT TURN ON"label on the variable speed drive disconnectLock the disconnect in the open positionDisconnect all power including external control power that may be present before servicing the drive.WAIT 15MINUTES for the DC bus capacitors to discharge. Then follow the DC bus voltage measurement procedure givenin the Installation Manual to verify that the DC voltage is less than 45Vdc.The drive LEDs are not accurate indicatorsof the absence of DC bus voltage.Electric shock will result in death or serious injuryCAUTIONDAMAGED EQUIPMENTDo not operate or install any drive that appears damaged.Failure to follow this instruction can result in equipment damage.Documentation structureInstallation manualThis manual describes:How to assemble the driveHow to connect the driveProgramming manualThis manual describes:·The functionsThe parametersHow to use the drive display terminal (integrated display terminal munication services specific to the protocolATV58-58F/ATV71 patibility manualThis manual describes the differences between the Altivar 71 and the Altivar 58/58F.It explains how to replace an Altivar 58 or 58F,including how to replace drives municating on a bus or work.5IntroductionPresentationThe Profibus DP munication card (catalog number VW3 A3 307)is used to connect an Altivar 61 /71 drive to a Profibus DP bus.Data is exchanged in order to make use of all the Altivar 61/71 functions:Configuring functionsUploading adjustment parameters·Control-signaling·DiagnosticsThe card has a 9-pin female SUB-D connector for connection to the Profibus DP bus.The connector and cable for connection to the Profibus DP bus must be ordered separatelyNotationDrive terminal displaysThe graphic display terminal menus are shown in square brackets.Example:[1.9 COMMUNICATION].The integrated 7-segment display terminal menus are shown in round bracketsExample:(COM-).Parameter names are displayed on the graphic display terminal in square bracketsExample:[Fallback speed]Parameter codes are displayed on the integrated 7-segment display terminal in round brackets.Example:(LFF).FormatsIn this manual, hexadecimal values are written as follows:16#Hardware setupReceiptCheck that the card catalog number marked on the label is the same as that on the delivery note corresponding to the purchase maximum segment length is in inverse proportion to the data rate.Data rate (kbps)9.619.293.75187.550015003000600012000Distance/segment (m)1200120012001000400200100100100Repeaters can be used to cover greater distancesThe bus ends with a line terminator at each end of the segment.Do not connect more than 32 stations per segment without a repeater,or more than 127 with a repeaterIf it is necessary for power cables to cross each other,be sure they cross at right angles.9ConfigurationConfiguring the switchesNote:A new configuration of the switches (address and mode)will only be applied after the next power on of the drive.Selecting the operating modeThe switch furthest to the left is used to determine the type of cyclicexchanges performed by the drive:Switch 0(OFF):Altivar 61 /71 modeSwitch 1 (ON):Altivar 58 patibility modeThis manual only describes Altivar 61 /71 mode.To find out about Altivar 58 patibility mode, refer to the ATV58-58F/ATV71 migrationmanual.10ConfigurationCoding the drive addressAn Altivar 61 /71 is identified on the bus by its address, coded between 0 and 126.The address corresponds to the binary number given by position 0(up/OFF)or 1(down/ON)of the 7 switches on the right of the card. The least significant bits are on the right. The table below indicates the positions of the switches for all configurable addresses:Addr.SwitchesAddr.SwitchesAddr.SwitchesAddr.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
