drive.Installationadjustment.repair,and maintenance must be performed by qualified personnel. The user is responsible for pliance with all international and national electrical code requirements withrespect to grounding of all equipment. Many parts of this drive, including the printed circuit boards, operate at the line voltage.DO NOT TOUCH.Use only electrically insulated tools.DO NOT touch unshielded ponents or terminal strip screw connections with voltage present.DO NOT short across terminals PA/+and PC/-or across the DC bus capacitors. Before servicing the drive:-Disconnect all power, including external control power that may be present.Place a"DO NOT TURN ON"label on all power disconnects.-Lock all power disconnects in the open position.-WAIT 15 MINUTES to allow the DC bus capacitors to discharge.Measure the voltage of the DC bus between the PA/+and PC/-terminals to ensure that the voltage isless than 42 Vdc.-If the DC bus capacitors do not discharge pletely.contact your local Schneider Electricrepresentative.Do not repair or operate the driveInstall and close all covers before applying power or starting and stopping the drive.Failure to follow these instructions will result in death or serious injury.AWARNINGDAMAGE DRIVE EQUIPMENTDo not operate or install any drive or drive accessory that appears damaged.Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, serious injury,or equipment damage.AWARNINGLOSS OF CONTROLThe designer of any control scheme must-consider the potential failure modes of control paths and.-for certain critical control functions, provide a means to achieve a safe state during and after a pathfailure.Examples of critical control functions are emergency stop and overtravel stop.Separate or redundant control paths must be provided for critical control functionsSystem control paths may include munication links.Consideration must be given to the implicationsof unanticipated transmission delays or failures of the link.(1)Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, serious injury,or equipment damage.(1)For additional information, refer to NEMA ICS 1.1(latest edition),"Safety Guidelines for the that can be used in the following two industrialmunication protocols:Modbus TCP and EtherNet/IP.In addition of the munication services providedby each protocol.the VW3 A3 616 provides a set of mon services at the Ether and TCP/IP level.TheVW3 A3 616 offers also an embedded web server (English)which offers fortable monitoring andmissioning functions directly from a standard web browser.Basic Overview According to the Simplified TCP/IP ModelApplicationModbus TCP-EtherNet/IPTransportTCP/UDPNetworkIPLinkEtherTransparent ReadyIntroduced by Schneider Electric, the Transparent Ready concept enables transparent municationbetween control system devices, production and management.Network technologies and the associated newservices are used to share and distribute data between sensors,PLCs,workstations and third-party devicesin an increasingly efficient manner.Web servers embedded in the work ponents and control systemdevices can be used to:Access configuration data transparentlyPerform remote diagnosticsIncorporate simple human/machine interface functionsThis concept is based on the Ether TCP/IP industrial standard which proposes a single work that meetsmost munication requirements from sensors/actuators to production management systems.Where avariety of munication systems is usually required.Transparent Ready standard technologies can result insignificant cost savings in the areas of definition, installation, maintenance or training.10s1A28701032010PresentationTransparent Ready is based on:Ether TCP/IP-based services meeting control system requirements in terms of functions, performanceand quality of servicesProducts including several ranges of PLC.distributed /O,industrial terminals, variable speed drives, gateways and an increasing number of partner productsThe ConneXium range of cabling accessories:hubs, switches, cables adapted to the environment and tothe requirements of industrial conditions.Modbus TCP-EtherNet/IP Modbus TCP/IP connection and numerous products are currentlyavailable. With the simplicity of its protocol and the fast Ether throughput data rate of 100 Mbps,ModbusTCP/IP achieves excellent performance.S1A28701032010PresentationEtherNet/IPEtherNet/IP is a fieldbus based on TCP and UDP.EtherNet/IP extends Ether by an advanced industrialprotocol(CIP,Common Industrial Protocol)as an application layer for automation applications in this way.Ether is excellently suited for industrial control.Products from different manufacturers can be workedwithout the need for special interface adaptation.TCP/IP and Ethemet FeaturesThe product supports the following functions via:Automatic IP address assignment via BOOTP or DHCPAutomatic configuration data via FDR(only in Modbus
