Safety1.1 Installation SafetyDon't install the drive in places with explosive gas,otherwise explo-△Dangersion may occur.Only professional personnel can do the wiring job,otherwise electricalshocking may occur.Connect the wires after confirming that the input power source istotally disconnected,otherwise electrical shocking may occur.The earthing terminal of drive must be earthed reliably,otherwiseelectrical shocking accident may occur.Don't touch the live control terminals with bare hands,otherwiseelectrical shocking may occur.Perform the maintenance job after confirming that the charging LED isoff or the DC Bus voltage is below 36V.Don't let the screws,pads and other metal foregin matters fall insidethe drive,otherwise there is a danger of a fire or damaging;Don't operate the drive whose parts are not plete,otherwisethere is a danger of a fire or human injury;Don't install the drive in the place with direct sunshine,otherwise thedrive may be damaged;Don't mistake the input terminals (R.S.T/(L.N)with the outputterminals(U,V,W)or the DC bus terminals with brake terminals P(+)(-)and PB,otherwise the drive may be damaged;It is absolute forbidden to feed the AC 220V signal into control termi-nals except the terminals TA TB and TC;The power cables'bare parts must be bound with insulation tapes,otherwise material loss may be resulted;Generally,the user should remove the cover of the drive to clean thedrive's intemal parts periodically with air(general ly 1 to 3 months);If overcurrent occurs at startup,please confirm that the wiring iscorrect;1.2 CautionsWhen using the drive,please pay attention to:Note:If the keypad needs to be operated remotely,please use the special cables that canalso be used by TD1000,pay attention that the length of the fixing screws cannot belonger than 6mm to avoid short-circuit).1.Low Speed Rotating with Constant TorqueTD900 General Purpose Variable Speed Drive User Manual2Chapter 1 SafetyDriving a mon motor at low speed for a long time,the drive life will be derateddue to the deteriorating heat dissipation effect,so a special variable frequencymotor is needed.2.Insulation of The MotorsThe insulation of the motors must be checked before using the drive,otherwise thedrive may be damaged.In addition to that,please check periodically the insulation ofthe motor in a severe environment.3.Motor's Thermal Protection ValueThe drive can perform the thermal protection to the motor selected according torequirements.If the ratings of the driven motor is not in pliance with the drive,besure to adjust the protective value to guarantee the safety of motor.4.Load with Negative TorqueNegative torque occurs when the drive drives a hoisting load,thus the drive oftentrips due to overcurrent or overvoltage.Therefore,a braking resistor is required5.Mechanical Resonance Point of LoadThe drive may encounter the mechanical resonance point of load within certainoutput frequency range,so skip frequency has to be set to avoid resonance.6.Varistors or Capacitors Used to Improve the Power FactorDon't connect any varistor or capacitor to the output terminals of the drive.becauseits output voltage waveform is pulse wave,otherwise tripping or damaging of po-nent may occur;in addition,don't install circuit breaker or contactor at the outputside of the drive as shown in Fig.1-1(if breaker or contactor must be installed,it mustbe ensured that the drive's output current is zero when the circuit breaker orcontactor acts).TD900Fig.1-1 Capacitors are forbidden to be used at the output side of the drive7.Deration at Low Base FrequencyDerate the motor power to avoid damaging the motor,if it's operating long time at a lowbase frequency is much lower than the motor rating selected.10.About the measurement of output voltageDeviation may occur when using a digital voltmeter to measure the drive's outputvoltage whose waveform is pulse,and the read value is different by different kinds ofvoltmeters Generally,when the rms value is 380V,the read value of the digitalvoltmeter is about 420V.1.3 Attentions in DispositionWhen disposing the drive,pay attention to:The capacitors may explode when they are burnt.Poisonous gas may be generated when the plastic parts like front covers are bumnt.Disposing method:Please dispose drive as industry rubbish.TD900 General
